My mom is Japanese and had a little trouble pronouncing the names of her children. As a result, "Sonja" became "Sa-ni-yah", "Erle" became "Ah-Do" and "Sarah" became "Se-dah". Then she added "chan" on the end of each name so that we became "Sa-ni-chan", "Ah-do-chan" and "Se-da-chan". It wasn't until we were in elementary school that my sister and I realized that our brother's real name was not Otto....
Cypress Gardens
Cypress Gardens reopened under new management. It's truly lovely to walk along the beautifully maintained gardens. Close up of the duck topiary shows that it's all a living show.
