What possesses someone to want to climb up a rock, a mountain or hangout on a ledge? I haven't the slightest. While I love stone walls, rock gardens and the beautiful seascape with its huge boulders and lighthouses, I just don't like climbing. But for those of you visiting Massachusetts who are not vertically challenged there is Caribiner's, one of the largest rock gyms in the country.
That little speck up there is my husband. He is a Capricorn. Which means not only can he be as stubborn as a goat he can climb like one as well.
While the guys hung out at the gym, us gals decided to go to the Whaling Museum for their free tour. It's led by a National Park volunteer... which kinda threw us a bit since we thought National Parks were located in forests and we were downtown New Bedford. Anyways, after learning that almost every single historic landmark on the city block that we walked had been moved, and most of them three stories high, we ended the tour by meeting the President of Portugal. No, 'El Presidente' doesn't work for the park service, this is just... well... our life.
After a day of climbing, take those hungry billy goats to "No Problemo" for some excellent TexMex and maybe buy some homemade hot sauce. Everyone loved the BBQ Chipotle Chicken Quesadilla. Wowee Zowee.
